Best Time to Visit Muktinath Tour

In order to get the maximum out of your tour, one must plan the Muktinath Tour Package during the right time. The best time to visit Muktinath is during the Spring and Autumn season because there is stability in the weather, the jeep routes are in good condition, and flights to Jomsom are unlikely to be canceled due to bad weather conditions.

Spring season [March to May]

It is quite pleasant to visit Muktinath in the spring when the entire area comes to life and prepares for the blooming of numerous rhododendrons and other wild flowers. The degree of heat is moderate and therefore ideal for trekking and sightseeing. The temperatures when the sun is out range between 16°C to 22°C, which is perfect when it comes to moving around in the area without the inconvenience of either hot or extremely cold weather.

As for jeep travelers, the road conditions are generally favorable during this period, which means that they have a good ride as well as excellent view. For those who opt for a flight, then spring is recommended because there are not many cases of cancellation of the flight or delay due to weather conditions. The stable weather also increases the safety of trekkives, and the comfort of those who would wish to hike to Muktinath.

Autumn [September to November]

Another favorable period to get to Muktinath is during the Autumn season. These months are characterized by a good and relatively mild climate with sunny days and beautiful views of the mountains. Hiking and sightseeing weather is normally between 12°C – 20°C throughout the day.

The good thing is that after the monsoon is over the weather is perfect for the growth of vegetation hence making the surrounding scenery more beautiful. For the jeep travelers, the roads are in the best shape after the monsoon repairs; therefore, it is less bumpy and highly safer to be on the road. Autumn is also the best time for flights because the probability of cancellation is minimal because of the good and stable weather.

Can I Go On This Journey During Off-Seasons?

One must plan his pilgrimage to Muktinath with utmost care and caution because it is not only a religious voyage but an adventurous one also as well; moreover, the time to visit Muktinath plays an imperative role in making one’s pilgrimage safe and joyful.

All things considered, the prospect of traveling during low seasons may include less number of people on site and may be cheaper prices, however, this must factor in the difficulties of Monsoon and Winter.

Monsoon is experienced from June to September with a feature of heavy rainfall. This makes the trails muddy and slippery, and the activities within the park which may include hiking can become challenging to undertake. Downpour also contributes to landslides and road blocks which are very inconveniencing and also acts as a major danger to human life.

Thus, it is not safe to plan a Muktinath tour in such a season and it is recommended that people avoid the tour in this particular season.

Likewise, the Winter season from December to February is not without its challenges as well, for instance harsh cold weather. Winter in the area is characterized by a gloomy climate and lots of snow which make the trails slippery.

Muktinath tour is best for the individuals who prefer safer and comfortable journeys with pleasant weather conditions; hence, it is advised to plan the trip in Spring season (March to May) or Autumn season (September to November).
