Muktinath Tour is one of the most adventurous tours of the high Himalayas. It is one of the tours for those who wish to explore the high mountain atmosphere and get the blessing of Muktinath temple. The temple of Muktinath refers to the “God of Salvation”.

The Muktinath Temple is situated at an altitude of 3800 m above sea level. The Muktinath Temple is mostly famous for the Hindu and Buddhist religions from all over the world.

The Muktinath Temple is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu on the lap of the high mountains. As you reach the temple, you may take a bath from the 108 taps and also from the two kundas (ponds). While it is believed that if you get a bath from all the tapes and 2 kundas, all your sins will be taken off.

The Muktinath Tour begins in the magical city of Pokhara. We will drive towards Jomsom, which is also known as the gateway of the Upper Mustang. Along the drive, you will witness the beautiful mountains, the Dhaulagiri ranges, the Nilgiri and Annapurna ranges, etc.

Welcome to Nepal! For the Muktinath Temple Darshan in the High mountains. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative from Blue Lake Adventure will greet you and will transfer you to the Hotel in Thamel.

The drive from the Airport to Thamel takes around 25-30 minutes depending upon the traffic situations on the way. Reaching the Hotel will check the checking procedure and you may have leisure time in Hotel.

On the second day, we will drive to the magical city-Pokhara leaving the capital city-Kathmandu behind.

Having our breakfast in the Hotel in Thamel, we will commence our drive. Along the way, we will witness the beautiful panoramic views of the mountains, hills and the different birds flying high above.

While driving to Pokhara, we may also explore the Manakamana Temple-the temple where all the wishes are fulfilled. The Manakama is the temple of the goddess Bhagwati who is also believed to be the incarnation of Parvati.
To reach the Manakamana Temple, you need to ride a cable car from the Kurinatar and get the darshan of the Manakama Mata.

After exploring the Temple, you will be transferred to the Hotel in Pokhara. Also depending on the time zone reaching Pokhara you may explore the lake side and have a good time.
Note: The Manakamana Temple is an optional activity!

In the morning, after breakfast in the Hotel. We will start our drive to Jomsom from Pokhara City.

Along the drive to Jomsom, we will experience the beautiful mountains such as Annapurna ranges, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre Himal.

On the day we will be covering a distance of 158.6 KM which will be covered in 6-7 hours via the Baglung Highway.

As we keep on gaining elevation in the mountains you will experience less level of oxygen. while we will stay overnight in Hotel in Jomsom, Mustang.

As Jomsom, is at a high altitude, we will spend a night here to be more familiar with the environment in the mountains.

Early morning, having breakfast in Jomsom, we will drive to the Muktinath Temple and explore the temple surroundings.Spend the best time in Muktinath Temple. Worship the temple and also get a bath from the 108 tapes in Muktinath Temple.

Along the way, to Muktinath Temple, you will experience the rough and rocky roads till Kagbeni and after that, we will travel on black spot roads till Muktinath Temple.

Reaching the bus stop in Muktinath, you need to walk for half an hour and need to climb the steps 250-300 to reach the main temple.

Later that day, we will drive back to Jomsom and we will stay a night in a hotel/tea house.

Waking up early in the morning, we will witness the beautiful Nilgiri Mountain peak and enjoy the morning breakfast in front of the mountain from the rooftop of the Hotel in Jomsom.

we will drive towards Pokhara city via the Marpha village. While we will also taste the organically made wine in Marpha and get to the destination.

Reaching Pokhara, we will check into Hotel, and late at night, we will attend the Evening Aarati in front of the Tal Barahi Mata Temple. You will feel the different vibes and the connection of bonds between god and your own heart.

You may also spend quality time with your loved and dear ones near the lakeside Pokhara. Overnight in Hotel at Pokhara.

Today, we drove to the capital city from Pokhara. We will be using the same trail as to reach Kathmandu. You will be directly transferred to the Hotel.

Muktinath Tour Cost

Permits: The permits are required while going for a Muktinath Tour in the Mustang district of the Annapurna region. You need to obtain the permit for the Annapurna Conservation Area, which costs around NPR 2,000.

Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)

The visitor traveling to Muktinath for Darshan in the high mountains needs to obtain the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) permit. The Permits can be obtained from the office of the Nepal Tourism Board, National Tourism Organization of Nepal, in Kathmandu. It is also available in the office of ACAP in Pokhara.

Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS)

The trekker’s Information Management System is more important to all the trekkers and travelers willing to explore the high mountains of Nepal. You need to issue a TIMS card from the Trekking Agent Association of Nepal (TAAN). It is the system that keeps all the records of the trekkers and the visitors. It can be obtained from the TAAN office in Kathmandu.

Accommodation on Muktinath Tour

During the Muktinath Tour, all your accommodations will be looked after by the Hotel and the Tea houses that are available along the way to Muktinath. The Hotel and Tea house might not be that fancy and decorated but the food they serve will be the best food you’ve ever tasted.

The Hotels and Tea houses are mainly built with wood in the mountains. You might get fewer services and facilities as compared to the city area. In the high mountains, you might not get the attached bathroom services and Wi-Fi access as well.
