Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)
The visitor traveling to Muktinath for Darshan in the high mountains needs to obtain the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACAP) permit. The Permits can be obtained from the office of the Nepal Tourism Board, National Tourism Organization of Nepal, in Kathmandu. It is also available in the office of ACAP in Pokhara.
Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS)
The trekker’s Information Management System is more important to all the trekkers and travelers willing to explore the high mountains of Nepal. You need to issue a TIMS card from the Trekking Agent Association of Nepal (TAAN). It is the system that keeps all the records of the trekkers and the visitors. It can be obtained from the TAAN office in Kathmandu.
Accommodation on Muktinath Tour
During the Muktinath Tour, all your accommodations will be looked after by the Hotel and the Tea houses that are available along the way to Muktinath. The Hotel and Tea house might not be that fancy and decorated but the food they serve will be the best food you’ve ever tasted.
The Hotels and Tea houses are mainly built with wood in the mountains. You might get fewer services and facilities as compared to the city area. In the high mountains, you might not get the attached bathroom services and Wi-Fi access as well. While few of the Hotels may offer you the attached bathroom as well on the other hand all offer the shared bathroom.
