With a short scenic flight of 45 minutes, you will reach Lukla from Kathmandu. During the flight, you can experience the aerial view of the different districts, and lush forests which already makes the trek exciting. After reaching Lukla, you can enjoy views of stunning mountain peaks.
The trek starts from Lukla to Phakding – a charming village along the Dudh Koshi River. This short hike will give you enough time to explore the Phakding village and interact with the local communities.
After a night at Phakding, the hike continues to Namche Bazaar, crossing different suspension bridges including the Hillary Suspension Bridge. During the trek, you will enter the Sagarmatha National Park and the permits will be managed by Blue Lake Adventure.
Hiking through the dense forest, you will reach Namche Bazaar which is the home of the largest Sherpa civilizations. There you can have a glimpse of Mt. Everest (8848.86m).
On reaching Namche Bazaar which is at around 3,340m elevation, the air gets thinner because of it acclimatization is necessary to let the body adapt to the thin air. During acclimatization, you can explore the local market of Namche Bazaar and communicate with the locals with the help of guides.
The following day, we head to Tengboche which is home to the largest Buddhist monastery, Tengboche Monastery. You will explore different mountain peaks like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam during the trek to Tengboche.
The path passes through lush alpine forests where you can encounter different wildfires like musk deer, pheasants, and Himalayan tahr.
The next day, early in the morning we will trek to Dingboche passing through several small villages. During the journey, you can have a view of uninhabited lands as you enter Imja Valley following the Lobuche River.
Because we are already at a substantial elevation, it is important to have a day of acclimatization which we will have in Dingboche. From Dingboche, you can view stunning mountain peaks like Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, and Makalu.
After a day of acclimatization at Dingboche, we will head to our next destination – Lobuche. Lobuche is a small settlement that offers a glimpse of high-altitude life and extraordinary vistas of glaciers and mountains.
After a long journey, we will finally have our foot on Everest Base Camp. This day will be the most exciting part of the trek because you will get to encounter Everest. Early in the morning, we will leave for Gorak Shep where we leave our luggage to further trek to Everest Base Camp.
On reaching EBC, you will have a beautiful view of Mt. Everest and its neighboring peaks offering the best view experience. During the stay at Base Camp, you can take different pictures and rest so that we can head back to Gorak Shep to spend the rest of the day.
The next day, early in the morning we will head to Kala Patthar situated at an elevation of 5,555m to experience the mountain sunrise. Sunrise among the majestic mountain peaks will be worth it waking early morning.
After enjoying the delightful view from Kala Patthar, we will have our trail back to Gorak Shep to enjoy our delicious breakfast. After breakfast, it’s time to return to where we started. To return, we will take a route to Pheriche.
Since the hard part of the trek is over, you can enjoy hiking through dense forests to reach Tengboche. After taking a rest and exploring places nearby, we will head to Namche Bazaar. At Namche Bazaar, you can enjoy several things like souvenir shops, bars, clubs, restaurants with Wi-Fi, and the Sherpa museum.
The next day, we will trek back to Phakding from Namche Bazaar following the Dudh Koshi River banks. From Phakding we will then head back to Lukla where we will have a last night in the Khumbu region. Next day, early in the morning you will have breakfast and take a flight to return to Kathmandu.

Your journey begins in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. On your arrival at Tribhuvan Airport, one of the representatives from Blue Lake Adventure will be there to greet you with warm hospitality.
S/he will then drive you to the hotel of Thamel where you will have rest after the exhausting flight. After rest, we will have some formalities at the office where you will also get to meet the guide. We will have a conversation about the plans for the trek ahead. You can then explore the narrow streets of Thamel or rest more at the hotel to get ready for the big day tomorrow.
Early in the morning of the day second after having breakfast, we will take a short scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu airport. During the flight, you can enjoy beautiful aerial views of Kathmandu and cities on the fly path.
After landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla, we will meet the porters who will help us with the baggage. We will then trek to Phakding from beautiful Lukla Village which takes around 3 hours of hike. We will cover 7.5km (4.7 miles) of distance in this hike while following the Dudh Koshi River.
During the hike, we have to ascend uphills to reach Phakding (2,610m) crossing a few suspension bridges which provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
After spending our second day exploring the Phakding, we will continue our trek by hiking to reach Namche Bazaar. It typically takes around 4-5 hours to reach Namche Bazaar; the home of the largest Sherpa Communities.
We will cover a distance of 10.4 km (6.4 miles) where we will hike uphill, as it ascends to Namche Bazaar. You can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains including Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
Namche Bazaar is a small town located at an altitude of 3,440m and it is the main trekking hub for the Everest region. We will then have our overnight stay at Yeti Mountian Home.
What will you get? – Welcome drinks on arrival, attached bathroom, electric blanket, free wifi access, charging kits, unlimited boiled & filtered water, bathroom slippers, and hot shower.
We are already at a height where air gets thinner making it difficult to breathe. To adapt to the higher altitude, we have scheduled an acclimatization day today.
On this day, you can explore the markets of Namche Bazaar where you can buy different souvenirs and other local goods. Also, you can explore different cafes and restaurants which has Wi-Fi facilities.
After spending some time in Namche Bazaar, we will hike to Everest View Hotel which offers a spectacular view of Mt. Everest. We will then explore the surrounding views and look around the Everest View Hotel. We will then head back to Namche Bazaar to spend the night.
After spending a day at Namche Bazaar, our body starts to adapt to the environment so we will continue our journey by hiking to Tengboche. On the trail, we will go through different lush forests and cross suspension bridges. The trail also offers stunning mountain views including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
The trail can be challenging because of the ups and downs but the views from the trail will reward you as you keep moving forward. While crossing the alpine forest, we can also spot different wildlife like musk deer, Himalayan tahr, etc.
We will then eventually reach Deboche which is a little ahead of Phunki Thenga. The hike to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar covers about 9.2 km (5.72 miles) and an almost 1,378 gain of altitude.
On the trail, you will also see Tengboche Monastery which is the biggest monastery of Khumbu region and offers a beautiful panoramic view of Mt. Everest.
Today, we will hike for 4-6 hours on the upper trail to reach Pangboche which is at an elevation of 4,000m. The trail to Dingboche is well-maintained and easy to follow so you won’t have any difficulties while trekking.
The trail to Dingboche makes it exciting with the views of Ama Dablam, one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Also, we will hike through the Imja Khola valley, with its lush forests and snow-capped mountains.
The trail will be a little challenging because of the higher altitude and steeper climb as we come closer to Dingboche. As you climb the steeper trail to Dingboche, you will see fields protected by stone walls. These walls help to protect the crops. such as buckwheat, barley, and potatoes, from the cold wind.
On day 07 of our trek, we have a scheduled acclimatization day at Dingboche. As we have already covered a considerable height, it is important to take acclimatization. This will be our second day of acclimatization throughout our trek.
On this day, we will take a short hike to Nangkartshang Peak for incredible views of snow-capped peaks like Lhotse, back of Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, and Makalu.
This is also one of the best places to have sunrise and sunset view. After taking a short hike to have stunning panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, we will head back to Dingboche for an overnight stay at Good Luck Hotel.
After having proper acclimatization at Dingboche, early this morning we will continue on our trail which will lead us to Lobuche. The trail to Lobuche is going to be fascinating because of the stunning mountain views throughout the trek.
Even in the 4-5 hours of trekking to reach Lobuche, you won’t get exhausted because of the glimpse of high-altitude life and extraordinary vistas of glaciers and mountains.
Although Lobuche is a small settlement, as you arrive closer you will notice that Lobuche is a comparatively larger settlement with many hotels ad shops.
After all these 8 days of trek, today it’s going to be a big day for us. We will have our foot on the Everest Base Camp for the first time. First, we will trek to Gorak Shep where we will take some rest and prepare ourselves to hike for Everest Base Camp.
After having a quick snack and leaving our luggage and backpacks at Gorak Shep, we will trek to EBC. Thinking about all the difficulties we bear with each on this day, we will successfully reach the Base Camp.
Reaching the Everest Base Camp is a wholesome feeling because of all these days of trekking and then finally setting foot on Mt. Everest. This is the closest you can get to Mt. Everest unless you want to climb on it.
We will take moments of celebration and take photographs to keep it as an unforgettable memory. After spending some time together at base camp, we will head back to Gorak Shep to have an overnight stay.
Today it’s going to be more fascinating because we will hike to the Kala Patthar Viewpoint to explore the stunning panoramic views of Mt. Everest and other peaks.
We will trek at dawn so that we can experience the beautiful sunrise between Mt. Everest and other majestic peaks. It is fascinating to view the sunrise in between the beautiful mountain peaks.
After spending some time at Kala Patthar Viewpoint, we will then head back to Gorak Shep. At Gorak Shep, we will enjoy our delicious breakfast and prepare ourselves to trek to Pheriche.
On the way, we will talk about Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar to revive the memory of experiencing such delightful views.
Coming on day 11 of our trek journey, we will trace back our route to where we started. With an approx. of 5-6 kilometers, the trail will take you uphill and downhill through beautiful landscapes, including the forests of rhododendron and pine.
You will also have occasional glimpses of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. Crossing the Imja Khola on a suspension bridge, we will climb up to Tengboche.
On reaching Tengboche, you will get a picturesque view of the surrounding grounds including the ancient Tengboche Monastery. The monastery holds religious and cultural importance for the sherpa community and is surrounded by stunning views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks.
After taking moments to explore more of the Tengboche, on day 12 we will trek to Namche Bazaar early in the morning. The trail leads through dense rhododendron and pine forests and offers remarkable views of Ama Dablam, Thamseku, and other mountains.
The dense forest is full of wildlife like pheasants, musk deer, mountain goats, and even snow leopards. If we are lucky enough, we might even spot these animals.
While trekking on the trail, we will take pictures and enjoy the views of the tip of Everest. After trekking for about 4-6 hours, we will then reach Namche Bazaar. We will then go to the hotel to take rest and enjoy some food.
After spending time at Namche Bazaar exploring and resting at Hotel, we will head back to Phakding. The trail from Namche Bazaar to Phakding involved mostly a downhill walk, as you descend from higher elevation.
The path winds through forests and small Sherpa villages, providing glimpses of the Dudh Koshi River.
Along the way, you will cross several suspension bridges over the river, adding to the adventure of the trek.
Coming on day 14, we will be at the peak of ending our long journey. This day we will trek back to Lukla where we first started our trek. The trail involves a combination of uphill and downhill which can be tiring and exciting at the same time.
With gentle climbs along the way, you will also cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Passing through several Sherpa villages, we will walk amidst rhododendron and pine forests.
At the last stretch of the trek, we will steep ascent to reach Lukla where we can finally end the trek at Everest region.
With the days of enjoying in between the Himalayas, we will head back to Kathmandu with a short scenic flight from Tenzing-Hillary airport.
In between those 40 minutes, you can recall your memory of trekking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp. We will look at the photographs to remember the mesmerizing luxury trek to Everest.

Day to Day Routine
During this trek, you will have the best experience of trekking, hiking, and accommodating in the Everest region of Nepal. We will pass by different local villages, lush forests, and suspension bridges while meeting different local people which will add more excitement during the trek.

Most of our treks will start early in the morning with tea/coffee. After enjoying the breakfast, we will embark on the journey at around 7:30-8:00 am looking at the duration and nature of the route.
Most of the treks require an average of 5-6 hours to reach the next destination. During the trek, we will enjoy our lunch at noon on the route to the next destination.
While hiking on the trail, we will have proper rest for about an hour to prioritize everyone’s stamina. Also, having proper rest is crucial while trekking in the Everest region.
After reaching the next destination where we planned to reach, we will have some complimentary snacks offered by the lodges. You will have enough rest at the teahouses/lodges and you can also enjoy walking nearby until it gets dark.
While having overnight at the lodges, we will have our finest dinner at around 7-8 p.m. with everyone together. If the place and weather favor us then we might have a campfire to enjoy the best moments together.
Before going to bed, you have a conversation with the guides about the next day’s plans. Also, you can enjoy playing games or watching trek documentaries with other fellow trekkers.

Visa Information
If you are a foreigner, except Indians then you need to have a visa to enter Nepal. You can have an on-arrival visa from the Tribhuvan International Airport. To get a visa, you need to have a valid passport, a passport-size photo, and visa fees. You have to pay US $50 for 30 days of visa.
Also, those from China or any SAARC countries can have free visas. But if you are from any of these countries – Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Swaziland, Somalia, Iraq, Palestine, Liberia, Cameroon, or Afganisthan – you may not receive an arrival visa. For that, you will have to contact with Nepali Embassy located in your country.
For any other information, you can check the information at Nepal’s Immigration office. Sometimes, the Nepal government can change the visa rules without any updates so it is better to check before.

Our skilled porter will carry most of your luggage. We will assign a porter for two trekkers with 9 kg each. We can also fix a porter for a trekker as per your request. Every team member of Blue Lake Adventure is a family so we don’t put anyone in difficulties.
All our team members are precious to us. They are paid well, and we provide them with travel insurance, accommodation, food, and clothing throughout the trek. We also take care of their health if they fall ill or get injured.
Since we all have been working together for so long, we have built up strong happy relations. Moreover, the trek leaders/guides have these qualities to assist you during the trek:

The trek to Everest Base Camp with luxury is a long trek of 16 days so we have fixed departure dates from Kathmandu. But if the fixed dates don’t fit you well then we are flexible in customizing the dates as per your requirement.
